My Healing Experience With Coffee Enemas By: Hailey

I know what you’re thinking, but trust me, keep reading you won’t regret it. When I was first introduced to coffee enemas I giggled and said “oh my god I would NEVER do that” but after a couple, awkward conversations and podcast listens I was fully convinced and ordered my enema gear immediately.

So you may be thinking… What exactly is a coffee enema? Well, a coffee enema is a type of colon cleanse used in alternative medicine. During the procedure, a mixture of brewed organic, mold-free caffeinated coffee and water is inserted into the colon through the rectum. Coffee enemas are used to boost immunity, increase energy, stop yeast overgrowth, treat autoimmune diseases, remove parasites from the digestive tract, remove heavy metals from the body, treat depression, treat cancer, and MORE!

Coffee enemas were introduced to me when I was struggling with cystic acne because of their power to help flush toxins from your body. At that time I was willing to try anything no matter how weird or out there it was. My skin specialist and I had perfected my skincare routine so I knew that my acne was coming from something within me. I already had been on a diet that was full of gut-healthy fermented foods, lots of greens, and no refined sugars, meat, or dairy but something was still off, something had to have been going on.

I decided to give this thing a try. I started with doing them every other day for a month and worked up to doing them every morning. It became a part of my morning practice and within those two months, a lot changed. I had so much energy, my stress was dissipating, and my skin was clearing… For me, the coffee enema was not only an amazing tool on my journey to healing my skin naturally but helped me with my spiritual growth, meditation, and morning routine. When I am in the middle of my enema, I light incense, and I lay on my right side on the floor with a towel with my meditation music on. This really helps me get through the process. Now I do a coffee enema whenever I feel like I truly need it, 2-4 times a month.

A coffee enema may be performed at home or in some holistic health clinics. There aren’t any official guidelines on how to perform a coffee enema. I did my enemas at home, and it was definitely a learning experience. I am not a professional and I’m not saying this is going to heal whichever ailment you are looking to heal. If you decide you are going to do this at home, I recommend following the video I have attached below. If you choose to use a coffee enema, you may feel cramping, pressure, and fullness during the procedure. You may also feel shaky or experience heart palpitations as a side effect of the caffeine. You should drink plenty of water afterward to help prevent dehydration.

Although I have benefited from coffee enemas, they are not the answer for everyone. If you’re sensitive to caffeine or if you take medications that interact with caffeine you should avoid this practice. Overall, I’m very happy with my experience with coffee enemas and how much they helped me in my healing process.
