At The Collective Ritual we are big fans of planners and journals for keeping track of our every day life. We use planners for about absolutely everything… From our to do’s, to our important reminders, important dates and just about everything in between. We also are huge fans of really good journals, especially for the TCR Method! When it comes to picking the right one, there are a few things that we typically like to look for. We are super picky when it comes to planners and journals! I think there’s a stack of about 10 in my bedside table right now of the ones that just quite didn’t have that “IT” factor.
“There’s plenty of research that shows how actually writing down your to-do list and schedule for the day — rather than typing it out on a laptop or your iPhone — makes you feel more engaged in the task at hand. But also, once the year is complete, a physical planner becomes an artifact, a time capsule, if you will, of all those momentous happenings from that calendar year.”
We’ve broken it down below for you, so that you have a clear guide to what journals and planners we suggest at The Collective Ritual!
Planners
This one, is one of our faves! It has the week at a glance, plus it even has your gratitude list built-in, and space to write other important notes. I also love how it has a habit tracker so you can keep track of rituals that you were trying to implement into your life.
This is the current planner we are using right now! We love all of the beautiful designs, and customizable options that they offer. This is also great for people more drawn to things that are aesthetically pleasing. This can help motivate them to use their planners that much more. The layout inside is also super nice, and allows for you to see weeks-at-a-glance as well as detailed day-to-day.
The planner that will help you organize your life. There is a daily page for each day of the year (combined weekend pages) to help you plan your day with to-dos and schedule all in one place! We love this planner option, as it has the times throughout the day for more timely organization and a big listed area for your to do list! It’s also customizable with your name.
Clever Fox has a system to stay focused, track your goals and to help you increase your performance and overall quality of life. This planner organizer is a perfect solution if you are looking to significantly boost your productivity and hit your goals. We also love the fact that this planner is not dated! Because, if you’re anything like us, sometimes life gets pretty crazy and you may miss a few days in your planner. Which then that planner ends up going to waste! So, with the Clever Fox you are able to go day-by- day.
Journals
This journal has 60 blank daily entries where you can record your observations and reflections, plus 10 weekly challenges to help you to enhance your gratitude practice. Inspirational quotes found throughout the journal will encourage and motivate you. Daily gratitude is extremely important to practice when it comes to tapping into an abundance and present mindset. Having a journal designated specifically to your gratitude list is a great reflection and will keep you more dedicated.
Make time for yourself with our daily wellness journal. Start and end each day with a fresh mindset, set intentions and take note of the things that make you feel good. Inside, there are 12-weeks of pages for reflecting on your mindful goals, habits, meals, water intake, sleep and the things you’re grateful for.
One of Hailey’s favs! We love a good journal that has the rustic and timeless feel. It makes the journal feel a little more sentimental, and holds a lot more love and power. A basic journal is also a must in your collection! Easy for free writing, journaling workshops, dream diary, or any thoughts throughout the day you want to put down on paper.
One of our favorite things about our journaling practice, is the fact that in months, or even years from now, you can always come back to your old journals and read back on your life was at that point in time. Maybe there was a time in your life where things weren’t going the way you wanted them to. When you read back on situations like that, it really makes you feel a sense of lightness and gratefulness towards where you are now. It also helps you look at situations from a bigger standpoint, and helps you realize that they might not of been as significant or impactful as you thought they were. You can look back and laugh, and smile!
