6 Date Ideas to Nourish Your Relationship

Love and Abundance Affirmation:

“I am surrounded by love. The love between my partner and me grows deeper every day. ”

“Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.” – Aristotle

Love is profound, magical, and soul-nourishing. When we are in sync with our partner the world opens. But, there are times through the hustle and bustle of life, that our relationships can take a back seat.

Here are 6 date ideas to reconnect.

Sensory Date – Humans are sensory-driven creatures. We crave touch, pleasant sound, and invigorating scents. Start your sensory date by helping each other get ready. Gently pull your partner’s shirt over their head and slowly lower it down their body. This loving touch set the tone for the date. Stimulate the auditory sense by whispering loving intentions in your partner’s ear on your stroll to dinner. Grab dessert to go, and back at home have your partner close their eyes as you feed them dessert. As you sprinkle in this sensory stimulus throughout the date, your emotional and physical connection will build.

Adrenaline Date – A spike in adrenaline increases circulation and can lead to a feeling of unadulterated excitement. Adding an adrenaline-pumping activity to your date is a surefire way to add some spice. Head a high ropes course, spend a day white water rafting, try a race car driving experience, anything to get the adrenaline flowing.

Nourishing Date – Re-connect by cooking together. No, we don’t mean the rushed weeknight dinner. A new, nourishing recipe with at least a little spice is perfect. Prep the food together, help each other taste along the way, be intentional with your movements around each other in the kitchen. The act of cooking and nourishing our bodies also nourishes our connection. And yes, leave the dishes until morning.

Spontaneous Date – Pack your partner a bag with date clothes and meet them as they walk out of work. Surprising your partner will ignite dopamine (our happy chemical) in their system. Keep the surprises coming by not letting your partner know anything about the date until it happens. Their dopamine will be flowing and your connection will grow!

Conscious Game Night Date – After dinner, play our favorite game by We’re Not Really Strangers. WNRS is a purpose-driven card game and movement all about empowering meaningful connections. Three carefully crafted levels of questions and wildcards allow you to deepen your existing relationships and create new ones. Get the relationship expansion pack for added connection. Set the mood by lighting some candles and getting cozy.

Steamy Date – Literally, steam together. Close the bathroom door, don’t turn on the fan, and draw a steaming hot bath. The steam will increase blood flow through our bodies. Increased blood flow leads to increased pleasure. The steam can also help with loosening muscling and increasing flexibility; do you see where we are going with this?
A bonus way to build your connection, do one of our date night ideas each week. After 5 weeks you and your partner will be lovingly in sync!
